Economic advantages of the lion®-Powerblock
According to the current legal situation owners of the lion®-Powerblock receives attractive savings.
You avoid an essential part of the electricity purchase from the energy suppliers (approx. € 400 – € 1.000 per year).
You receive an annual refund for the gas tax corresponding to your electricity share (approx. € 30 – € 100 per year).
The Powerblock adapts fully automatic and continuously and therefore preventing standstill loss, particularly during the heating period.
In all probability increases in electricity prices can be expected in the years to come, which will enhance the economic balance off the Powerblock even if the fuel prices may rise as well.
Important: When considering the economic feasibility the peak current output is basically not of importance. It is much more essential to generate at the same time less or an equal amount of power as needed. However, the heating comfort may not be reduced, whereby the Powerblock offering a maximum performance of heat of 16 kW is very powerful!
Payback period of the lion®-Powerblock
The lion®-Powerblock corresponds to a cutting-edge, effective heating system with condensing boiler technology saving additionally a large portion of the electricity purchase from the public network. Due to its efficient continuous operation gas consumption increases, if any, compared to a modern condensing boiler only slightly. The payback period depends on the electricity price and saved amount of electricity. In case of raising prices payoff period shortens accordingly. (Simplified representation: Annual increment in electricity prices and thus increasing savings are equated with debit interest of the total investment)

lion®-Powerblock with a storage of 600 Liters and accessory (incl. VAT): approx. € 20.000,--
Support in Vienna as per 1.1.2009: € 8.000,--
Total investment: approx. € 12.000,-
That means if you save € 800,-- per annum the entire heating system pays off after approx. 15 years (Service life of the plant) by savings itself! In other words, the lion®-Powerblock including accessory costs you nothing at all!
Comparison: Condensing boiler, including accessory approx. € 5.000,-
Annual saving compared to the lion®-Powerblock: nothing!
