Parabolic troughs with direct steam generation set new standards.
The thermally regulated Receiver provides within a few seconds steam at various temperature ranges from approx. 100-200°C.
The collectors are self-regulating reaching stable steam conditions in the partial load range.
Solar steam generation is not only possible in principle, however, it may be used as of now for entirely new areas of application!
Example:
Steam jet injector chiller: it is driven by propellant steam gained from the collectors enabling temperatures little above freezing
Process steam: integrated as support into existing steam networks
Annual storage reservoirs with „ceolite“ Ansorption storage: due to the high temperature use of absorption material, which has much more binding energy than Silica-Gel, is possible and therefore solar cooling and heat may be used at any time with smaller storages.
